25 Anniversary

Svetlina's story begins with a base of 12 children and a team of two educators. We were the first to introduce the circle education style in Bulgaria.

Our second facility opened.

We acquired a school licence from the Ministry of Education and Science.

For the first time, we introduced separate diet as part of the development of habits from early childhood

We joined the program for early career guidance through the experiential education approaches.

We introduced financial education following R. Kiyosaki’ principles.

Svetlina’s largest facility, today’s facility of Svetlina Private Primary School, opened. We laid the foundations of holistic child-centered learning in 1999. in Bulgaria.

The newest and most modern facility of Svetlina Complex opened. It is situated on Simeonovsko Shose Blvd. where we introduced a space for active meditation and open classrooms for the first time in Bulgaria as part of our educational infrastructure because we think that the environment is key for the formation of personality and children’s better development.

We became a member of Cambridge Schools Association.

We opened the third facility of Svetlina Private Kindergarten in Boyana which marked the beginning of a new method to work with the so-called Generation Alpha children.

We introduced the use of Tony Buzan’s mind maps which we apply with 5-6-year-old children, too.

We became members of the Worldwide chain of schools for new millennium education “EDUCATION 3000” under the auspices of UNESCO.

As a result of a long-standing partnership between parents, teachers and education experts, we have created Future in Svetlina Foundationdriven by the idea of changes in the educational environment of modern children. In the same year the team of "Svetlina" created the internet platform pedagogika.bg with information about the most current methodologies and useful practices for child development in the 21st century.

We opened the fourth facility of Svetlina Private Kindergarten in Lozenets. We introduced the soft skill training as part of the necessary competences to develop in the 21st century and the Project Management as a training standard both in the classroom and the extracurricular activities. We stopped using polyethylene plastic within Svetlina.

Private School "Svetlina" is a certified school by the Digital Media Academy, Stanford University.

We introduced the training in emotional intelligence /EQ/ from the age of 4 in our program.

We created Teen Power, the first free workshop for teens. At the heart of its concept is the idea of creating a "school of life" where we match young people with inspiring real-life examples and success stories. Teep Power was awarded 1st place in the Event of the Year category at the annual b2b Media Awards 2021.

We opened a new nursery and kindergarten in "Lyulin 9"

Twinkle Bulgaria awarded the blog of Educational group Svetlina - Pedagogika.bg as one of the best educational blogs for 2022. After independent research and evaluation of the usefulness of the educational resources provided, our blog was selected among a number of others for excellent work in the field of education.

25 years of Svetlina on the path of every child!

"Svetlina" was awarded with the prestigious distinction of the Gold Coin "Education and Culture" for its contribution to Bulgarian Education, Science and Culture. The award is an assessment of high prestige in modern development. The award is presented by the Council of the European Scientific and Cultural Community and the Club of the Bulgarian Cultural and Scientific Elite.
